Analysts said Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL), the world’s largest producer of batteries for electric vehicles (EVs), would see strong growth in 2025 after the company reported record earnings for last year.

China’s new energy vehicle sector – which has been embroiled in a vicious price war – is set for a brutal “three-year elimination contest” that more than three-quarters of firms are unlikely to survive, industry insiders said.
